Living Room Wall Art

The living room wall is the one people get wrong most often, and almost always the same way: the art is too small. It is the largest wall in the house and it needs a piece scaled to match the furniture beneath it, not to the space left over.

It is also viewed from across the room rather than close up, which changes what works. Fine detail is largely lost at four metres, while strong composition and clear colour carry. A large cloud study holds a wall that a delicate botanical would not.
